Objects & digital

In your hands. And beyond.

An object can be the start of an experience. Digital opens up new ways to discover it, personalise it and play with it.

Print — Compose — Solve

Adapt a tool, then give images another life. With Design Your Cube, personalisation grows from printing on objects into an experience between hand and screen.

  1. Print

An object printer, used notably for golf balls, receives a tray adapted to puzzle cubes. Images are printed directly onto their faces.

  2. Compose

A web 3D configurator lets people compose their cube’s faces. A personal image becomes an object to handle.

  3. Solve

A QR code gives access to help with solving illustrated cubes. The screen helps restore the images after shuffling them.

The screen accompanies the action.

In the 2023 ICONICUBE brochure, scanning recognises the images on the faces; an animation then shows the solving moves. These screenshots show this later extension, rather than the historical DYC configurator.

Dépar · animated demonstration, undated archive

From rolling dice to moving images.

The Dépar game takes an animated form: dice appear, the course remains visible and instructions accompany each action. A demonstration of another way to show the game.

Dépar demonstration · about 51 seconds, silent. Play when you choose.
Read the demonstration description

On a Par 3 course, the stated aim is to obtain three identical dice in no more than three rolls while avoiding obstacles.

Six dice are rolled: three combination dice, an obstacle die, a challenge die and a pro/am die. The results appear in a column beside the course.

The pro/am die shows a 6, setting a target of three sixes, and is removed. No six is obtained in the first roll, so the five remaining dice are rolled again. Written French instructions accompany this sequence.

One concept, many forms

Object, game, poster, workshop or experience — an idea doesn’t have to stay in its original shape.

Objects extended by digital

A screen opens up new uses when it adds something to the pleasure of hands-on play.

Play brings people together

Around a table, as a team or at a distance, our concepts are made to spark a connection.
